What an awesome chance to shoot full-auto guns and will be a great event for Friends and family to attend!
All the details are listed below. essentially we are looking for parents as well as athletes to sign up and help at this event. As you will see below we are planning a “beat the national champ” contest on the trap fields which will be fun for the athletes to participate in. Please contact Clif Fairchild at (515) 480-8424 if you can volunteer at this event. Karen Myers will be spearheading the concessions planning but we need to get her some help.
Our goal is to make in the neighborhood of $2000 in concessions and $500-$1000 in gun raffle sales.
I strongly encourage all parents and athletes to take a look at their calendar to see if you can assist even if it’s for 3 to 4 hours. All proceeds from concessions will be deposited in to our Ankeny shooting sports foundation account to go towards deterring costs to participate in trap next year.

Event: The 2017 Second Amendment Rally
Place: Ankeny Izaak Walton League at 4857 NE 110th Ave, Elkhart, IA 50073
Date: August 12-13 (public), August 11 (setup)
Times: 9 AM to 7 PM, both days
General admission: $15.00 for individuals, $30.00 for families, no cap
Everyone must sign a waiver, which will include Ikes safety rules Ikes will sell tickets online, and the waivers will be filled out there as part of the ticketing process Tickets will be sold at the gate as well Everyone who buys at ticket will get an armband, and armbands will be required to do anything to ensure people don’t just wander in
Vendor admission: $75.00 per day
Volunteers: Get in free with a 3-4 hour shift (Ikes people call Clif Fairchild, IFC people call Donnie or I)
Parking: Limited space on site, can park on the road, carpooling encouraged; will be parking assistant(s) on site
Concessions: Sold by the Ankeny Centennial Jaguar Trap Team (“The Jags”); food available will include burgers, hot dogs, walking tacos, water and soda
Shooting: 100+ machine guns available, to include Uzis, Thompsons, M14s, AK-47s and 74s, Stens, Grease Guns, MP5s, M2 Carbines, BARs, MG42s, PKMs, M249s, etc. Cost – $15.00 to $30.00 to shoot a mag or short belt, depending on the gun (Uzis and such on the low end, belt feds on the high end) Four gun special: $80.00
Guest speakers: TBD
Other: Rain or shine! Ranges do have cover if it rails. Everyone needs to bring eyes and ears, but will have them for sale on site No open carry (other site rules will be in waivers everyone will sign) The Jags will have a “Beat the State Champ” trap contest; shoot trap with the state champs for $10.00 Sent from Mail for Windows 10
